Findings
- Normally the Galvalium or Galvanized metal roofing shows upto 58°C to 61°C according to the above chart
- The glass wool insulation and the combined aluminium cum bitumen insulation acted well. So, the roof temperature was decreased by 14°C to 16°C

Observation Report



We observed the following heat management facts :
We have divided your Concert Hall’s cold down time into 3 phases
- Ceiling cold down time
- Interior walls cold down time
- Occupancy cold down time
Occupancy cold down time and Interior wall cold down time can be easily maintained stable by your
air conditioning system. The air conditioner load for this phenomenon is not much varied.
The hot air occupied inside the concert hall always moves upside and circulates underneath area
of the ceiling. The ceiling temperature generated by solar heat also facing a major problem for ceiling
cold down time.
The conventional duel [glass wool, aluminium foil] insulation method in your concert hall is well, but not enough to decrease the ceiling heat and cold down time.
The application of the Solar Heat Radiant Barrier Roof top coating acts as a solar heat radiation reflective coating as well as a thermal barrier. It reflects the UV radiation by 80%. The Radiant Barrier coated area shows 13.4°C reduction of the temperature inside the ceiling as well as exterior shows 9.4°C at the same time. Our readings documented these temperature variations before and after application.
By reducing the temperature inside the ceiling and exterior roof top area can be achieved the lowest
ceiling cold down time. When the ceiling cold time decreases, the interior walls cold down time and
occupancy cold down time decrease proportionately. This is the Rheology involved in cold down
timings of air conditioner.
